What is Ekadasi Pranayama?
Ekadasi is a powerful pranayama technique practiced for thousands of years, traditionally performed over 11 days, though it can be shortened to 5 days to fit modern life. The practice focuses on clearing emotional, physical, and mental blockages that impact the body and mind, often caused by unresolved past experiences. Ekadasi works by stimulating the nervous systems that correspond roughly to the Ida, Pingala, and Shushumna, in Sanskrit. This energy flow helps release deep-seated tensions, allowing for profound transformation. As the practice unfolds, it will meet you where you are on your journey, guiding you toward deep healing and inner change.
I offer transformative 5-day group Ekadasi experiences several times a year. While the practice is most powerful in retreat settings, where you can fully immerse yourself in the process, I also offer personalized one-on-one sessions that can be tailored over 5 consecutive days.
My next Ekadasi Retreat is April 24th-28th 2025 in St George, UT with
Clarity Women’s Community.

How My Worldwide Adventures Led Me to Ekadasi and Home to Teach
In 2021, about a year and a half into the global pandemic, I found myself stuck in a call center job, deeply dissatisfied and overwhelmed by a sense of unfulfillment. Life felt like a constant struggle. One night, however, a message came to me, almost as if from within: I was meant to go to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. I had a friend who had been living there for months, sharing glimpses of her vibrant, adventurous life by the lake, and I felt an undeniable pull to experience it for myself. Within a month, I made the bold decision to quit my job and move there.
During my time in Lake Atitlan, I met a woman named Jenika who was teaching a form of “magical breathwork.” Intrigued, I signed up for her upcoming workshop the following month, and it truly transformed my life. Through this practice, I released so many old emotional stories and patterns that had been holding me back. It felt like I was watching my old life unfold on a screen, while physically releasing these burdens from my body. By the third day of this life-changing experience, I received a clear message that I was meant to teach this pranayama practice.
I learned that Jenika’s teacher was David Goulet, who lived on Koh Phangnan Island in Thailand. Although I returned to Utah in August 2021, I couldn't shake the thought of David’s teachings and Pyramid Yoga. Fast forward to September 2022: I discovered that David would be leading his next Yoga Teacher Training at Pyramid Yoga the following month. Without hesitation, I sold most of my belongings, donated what I could, and boarded a plane to Thailand with just a backpack and a one-way ticket, trusting my heart and taking a leap of faith.
The Yoga Teacher Training at Pyramid Yoga was nothing short of transformative. I spent seven months living in a jungle bungalow, teaching yoga and breathwork, and growing in ways I had never imagined. During this time, I celebrated my 33rd birthday on the island, and as a gift to myself, I took part in an 8-day Vipassana (Silent Meditation) retreat. In the silence, I received the message that it was time to return home and share what I had learned.
Since returning to Utah in May 2023, I’ve been honored to facilitate five group Ekadasi workshops, teach private Ekadasi sessions, and I’m excited to host my very first Ekadasi retreat in Southern Utah (April 24–28) with the Clarity Women's Community. This practice has changed my life in profound ways, and I feel immense gratitude for the opportunity to share it with others. I strive to honor the roots of Ekadasi pranayama, staying true to its origins in India and traditional yoga, incorporating all eight limbs of yoga, not just the asanas.
